Christianity's Greatest Controversy - Prelude to Genocide

From the cradle to the grave westerners live and die in a world that is predominantly Christian, a faith consisting of countless denominations, sects and splinter groups, each the “one true faith”. How did this situation arise if Christ left his disciples a single unambiguous message and mission? How Jewish is Christianity? Or, as a Protestant might ask, why does it look so pagan? And the many medieval Christian witches, where did they fit into the overall scheme of things?rnA 1 year old child dies of leukemia, a baby is born deformed, the death of grass, trees, puppies and wildlife is everywhere, so too the demise of stars, the outbreak of pestilences that devour thousands of unwilling victims. Such are the tragedies of daily life. The one thing these suffering creations have in common is they are sinless, yet die untimely. And so people ask, why us? Why did God do this to us? What did we do to deserve this affliction? Bereaved parents cradling infants instinctively hate the Creator. Their resentment is understandable, yet tantamount to unholy blasphemy.rnIs the Father of the New Testament running a sort of concentration camp, where on one hand he takes great care designing and fashioning our mortal selves, and then, at a time of his choosing strikes down all creation with an exquisite malevolence, laying waste with old age, disease, withering, carnage, famine and drought? Most Christians subscribe to a standard view that this is a just reward for our wrongdoings, that you should love god, but also wince as you look skyward, fearing the retribution that is sure to come ... some hour, some day. Is this really the Father Christ preached? Or is it residue from the Old Testament, where a god is glorified who “giveth and taketh away”.rnTo answer this we will go back two thousand years, to see a retinue of kingly white wizards make a hazardous trip from Persia to Bethlehem in Judea to worship the baby Jesus. Later, after Christ's death, a torah-inspired faction with immense clout gained control of the Church, and proceeded to throw the converted white Magi to the wolves. Their crime? Believing the Creator and Destroyer are not one and the same being. Employing the jingoistic, methodical slaughter found in Deuteronomy, the medieval reformists invoked changes to the faith so gargantuan and lasting that they make the later Great Reformation pale into insignificance. Their central ethos was clear; to cut away the pagan origins of the faith in many parts, promoting it as a creed reveling in Judaism alone. So began the burning times.rnBy the end of this book you won't ask Will there be daisies in hell? or Will the gardens of paradise have flies, maggots, weeds, cockroaches, rats and other vermin.
